Desk Lamp

I find that making functional, yet beautiful pieces are sometimes the most satisfying. I made this lamp in 2017 out of necessity, which I turned into a fun learning experience. I had never turned anything functional on my lathe before and I felt this would be a good start.

Every now and then I enjoy going off on a creative tangent. Spontaneity and intuition are very fun aspects of turning wood. There are a few small differences between my drawing of the lamp and the finished product but I wouldn’t want it any other way.

This lamp is made completely out of redheart.
